I will munch on oyster crackers if I'm in that emotional eating mood. You can munch a lot without a ton of carbs.

I've found that flavored toothpicks are great. They keep your mouth occupied if you just need that oral stimulation. Dried seaweed snacks/Nori sheets are a good salty snack. Sunflower butter is a lot lower in carbs than peanut butter. Put a little on some celery for a good crunchy snack. If you need to satisfy a sweet tooth, I like putting a few drops of liquid stevia in some herbal tea, or you can try sugar free Jello!

Salads are really good, too. I would eat a bowl full of lettuce with a little low fat/low carb vinegrette on it. You can add other veggies like cucumber, zucchini, tomato, shredded carrot, Celery, etc. and eat to your heart's content! Great to eat if you feel you have to eat something.

I do a combo of low carb and keto. I pick and choose where I want my carbs. There is a bread I found at Walmart called Natures Own. It’s best toasted as it toasts really well. For breakfast I will put a small amount of crunchy peanut butter on it and it’s fabulous. Your peanut butter will give you protein and some carbs but not many if you just use a thin layer spread over it.

Also, I have been taking things I love like Dorito taco salad and instead of a bowl, because you tend to use way more Doritos this way I will get Romain lettuce hearts and use them as lettuce wraps vessels. I will put shredded carrots, cheese, you can use chicken; beef, steak, pork or as I do meatless and you can add black soy beans or even regular black beans as they aren’t too high in carbs. I add my sauce of choice then I will take 2-3 Doritos and crush them up and sprinkle it over the top. 3-4 of these Romain lettuce hearts is very filling and you are controlling your carbs so much easier. For 3-4 depending on how many Doritos you use for each would be less then 20 carbs of course depending on the amount of other ingredients you use but they are wonderful. You can also make one for a snack when you just need something. The possibilities are endless. I hope this helps as all I do is think about food and ways to make things that don’t make me feel deprived. 😊
