ive been 16 before and handled it better than a 45. crazy how the body has better moments than other times. if you are getting lows a half hour after eating and you are sure you didnt over insulin yourself, then you may wanna make an appointment with a gastro doctor. gastroparesis affects 80% of diabetics so i would venture to say that it affects 95-100% of type1 sooner or later. mine has been mild for 5 years, but the last year has seen it worsen and now i experience its effects daily even if only mild, and delayed digestion is a curse for us that have to take insuline.

Experiencing dangerously low blood sugar (41 mg/dL) after eating can be concerning. Here are some potential reasons based on the knowledge base:

- Insulin Dosing: If you took more insulin than needed for the meal, it could cause hypoglycemia.
- Physical Activity: Vigorous exercise can lower blood glucose levels, even hours after the activity.
- Alcohol Consumption: Drinking alcohol can also cause blood sugar levels to dip, especially when combined with insulin.
- Meal Composition: The timing and type of carbohydrates consumed can affect blood sugar levels.

If this happens frequently, it's important to discuss it with your healthcare provider to adjust your treatment plan.

Consider drinking a small v8, one baked chicken patty, with very few fries.

One more thing I would add to the above is that it sounds like this meal contained mostly fried foods which digest slower. I've had the same thing happen after eating fried foods. Typically, the rise in blood sugar from these foods happens later than expected with other carbs.
