It can be from overdosing for your dinner. I tend to take to much insulin cause I don’t eat everything on my plate that I had bolused for.

Lows are only caused by an insulin overdose. If you go low after dinner - you took too much insulin for dinner OR your basal is effecting that timer period too much.

If it’s a pump - adjust that time’s basal, if it’s MDI consider a ploy dose or a timing change or a quantity reduction.

It's important to match your insulin dose accurately to your carbohydrate intake. If you find this happening frequently, it might be helpful to discuss adjusting your insulin dosage with your healthcare provider. Additionally, ensure you're not skipping any snacks you usually have in the evening, as this can also contribute to low blood sugar levels.
