Does Anyone Else Begin To Dislije Holidays And Gatherings Due To "food Pressure" And Tine Of Day, Etc. It Really Screws Up My Numbers.

This is the single most aggravating part of diabetic life. My husband is very social and very food motivated. I agree, and not even family (siblings) get that when it is time for me to eat that another little bit (1-2hours) doesn’t work. You can take the snack and be accommodating to the group, but resentment builds up over time. I feel your pain!

Eat a snack before you go, and/or take a pack of peanut butter crackers or another easy to carry snack with you. Then you can just step out of the room to eat something if you need to.

Thx for addressing-- sorry for typos. It makes me furious-- or worse you are a guest-- they serve 2 hours later and nothing you can eat! Now, I am saying no to social events cause it just isn't worth the impact on my health. My husband gets frustrated so invite cause all kinds of issues.

yes!! waiting around for people to show up so we can start eating can be difficult. even an hour past when i usually eat and my numbers are WHACK!!
