Hi Krista. I’m sorry you’re feeling that way. Have you gone to the doctor? You’re too young to feel this way. Take care and reach out.

It sounds like you're experiencing significant scalp issues and hair loss. Here are some steps you can take based on my knowledge base:

- Seek Medical Advice: Consult a dermatologist for scalp symptoms like itchiness or flakiness to rule out conditions such as scalp eczema, psoriasis, or seborrheic dermatitis.
- Consult Your Endocrinologist: Mention your hair loss to your endocrinologist. They can help assess if it's related to type 1 diabetes and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Promote Scalp Health: Use gentle, nourishing hair care products and avoid harsh chemicals, dyes, and excessive heat.
- Address Nutrition: Ensure your diet is rich in vitamins and nutrients. Consider speaking to a registered dietitian and getting routine bloodwork to check for deficiencies.
- Manage Stress: Incorporate stress-reduction techniques like mindfulness, regular exercise, and relaxation therapies into your routine.

If you need more personalized advice, please consult your healthcare provider.
