Does Anyone Have A Reliable Way To Handle The Problems That Medicare Causes In The Delivery Of Supplies Such As Sensors?
My answer is to just be proactive and a squeaky wheel if you are having delivery issues with your supplier. I use Medtronic G4 sensors and I receive three boxes of 5 every 90 days IF I have less than a 10 day supply. I receive constant communication from Medtronic to fulfill my orders; often three weeks before an order as well as 12 or so days before my order is to be shipped. You do need to make sure you schedule your Endo visits every 90 days and that your doctor follows up with your supplier providing your chart notes, as required by Medicare. BTW, the same is true with insulin pump supplies. This has been my experience with Medtronic and their team does a great job. My 2 cents.
I have Medicare and have not had problems with Dexcom or Omnipod (insulet corp) deliveries.
