Does Anyone Have Experience With The Smart Watches That Can Read Your BG?
I’m not looking for one that works with a CGM system. Just looking to eliminate the needle sticks that are damaging my fingers. I’m running out of real estate.
Thanks Pam,
But I’ve procrastinated the use of any CGM system because my body doesn’t cooperate with it. I made an attempt in 2023 for 10 days and still have pain in my arm from when it was inserted. I really liked the amount of data that was gathered but as stated, my body can’t handle any internal or external devices very well. I appreciate your feedback and wish you the best.
I use a Dexcom CGM, and have found them to be very accurate. I use a Tandem X2 pump, which works as my receiver for the CGM. I also have an app on my phone where I can see my readings. I did use a watch a long time ago to see my readings, but I decided it wasn't necessary given I had the other ways to see what my sugars were doing.
I know that Dexcom has a list of compatible devices on their website. I look at that before buying a new phone, and before I got my watch, to make sure it will work with the CGM. So, a watch is doable. There are no stand alone watches that can read your sugar levels, but there are watches that will work with a CGM, if that is what you need.
Thank you, Joan. I was hoping for an alternate solution to my damaged fingers. Thanks again for the response.
Truthfully I have had no luck with the watches and have just resided that finger sticks are the only thing I can trust...sad to say
