I Was Diagnosed With Insulin Resistance π©. What Causes It? How Can I Remedy It? I Was Placed On Mounjaro.
Hi, I am prescribed Metformin for my insulin resistance. I take it in the morning and before bedtime. I take 10 to 12 units of insulin per day, exercise by jog/walking 3 to 4 times a week. If you have LADA, it is fairly common to also have insulin resistance.
Do you rotate your pump sites? Putting the pump/infusion set in the same area can cause scar tissue to form, which in turn, can cause insulin resistance. So, one thing you can try is a new pump site. Ask your doctor or NP about this.
If you have put on weight, this can cause insulin resistance as well. If so, losing the extra weight will help.

Just wondering? Are you on an insulin pump?
Hello Adrianne! Glad you are willing to do something to help with the Ins Resistance. I am on Metformin; and am just trying to get a better routine in order to see what works best for me.
