Thanks Pam- you are correct that the iLet pump will make adjustments once the algorithm learns what is a usual meal for the user. This is the first pump for me and I am slowly learning how to maintain it, exercise with it and sleep wearing it. It is a little overwhelming but my numbers and time in range have all improved since I started with it a few weeks ago.

Sorry! I should have read your question and not the automated response. I've never used the iLet, but if memory serves I believe it is the pump that uses your weight to calculate your dose. If so, you simply enter if you are eating a normal, small, or large meal and the pump does the rest. From what I've heard, the pump will adjust the dosing if it sees that the initial program isn't right for you. IE: If you are dropping after lunch, it will lower the lunch dose for the same size meal. I'm not sure how basal insulin is handled with this pump.
