It consisted of scrambled eggs, 3 slices of a fresh tomato (mine) and 1 piece of wheat toast with decaf coffee. So why did that make my blood sugar go up??? I think the air I breathe affects it sometimes 😆

Hotels and restaurants sometimes add flour to the scrambled eggs, but I don't think it's that much. I wonder if your emotions could be the cause, since you're at a hotel. It's understandable to feel frustrated when your blood sugar doesn't behave as expected. Here are a few reasons why your breakfast might have caused a rise in blood sugar:

1. Carbohydrates in Wheat Toast: Even whole-grain bread contains carbohydrates, which can raise blood sugar levels.
2. Protein and Fat in Eggs: While protein and fat can help stabilize blood sugar, they can also cause a delayed rise in blood sugar levels.

It's always a good idea to monitor portion sizes and consult with your healthcare provider to adjust your meal plan if needed.
