I always pack at least twice what I expect to need as far as my pump/cgm supplies go. I also always pack low sugar snacks and emergency glucose tabs and pen. This includes some low sugar granola bars, incase I need a quick breakfast that will hold me. The rest of my snacks can include gummies, jelly beans, chips, hard candies, etc. - - things that won't spoil or melt. I also pack carrot sticks (usually baby carrots) and nuts for healthy snacks. And, I always bring cheese sticks and crackers, or a sandwich, with fruit, incase of delays of a meal, on or off the plane. Fruit, like mandarin oranges, apples and/or bananahs are included as well in my pack. If I have some single serve nut butter on hand, I bring those too.

Always plan for the unexpected. Pump problem, set displacement, tube problem. Remember no one can help you with your situation but you. Have the number of the tech unit for your pump. Extra insulin and syringes and your glucose meter

Always remember to take twice as much as needed. Have data on who to call in the area your going to, if something happens with your pump
