Amy Suggestions Or Comments About The Tandem X2 Pump? My Endocrinologist Is Wanting Me To Get This And I'm Clueless. Tia
I use the Tandem T:slim X2 pump, and I love it! It works the best for me of the pumps I have tried (Medtronic, Omnipod and Tandem). What I like is that it works with my Dexcom CGM, and has the smallest increments for dosing. My pump also works as the receiver for my CGM. I find that having the trend graph right there when I go to bolus very helpful and I don'thave to carry a separate controller (pod) or receiver (CGM). This is a tubed pump. The tubing doesn't bother me at all.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Tandem uses your insurance to cover costs. Omni Pod uses your prescription portion of the insurance. I have Medicaid and it covered both...at the same time.
I have only used the Omnipod which is tubeless. Can be worn showering and swimming. Highly recommend it.
Also, yes, it is easy to use!
I also use Tandem - the X2 - with Dexcom and it works great. The tubing doesn't bother me. I run it under my clothes so that only a short amount is on the outside. This way, it rarely catches on anything. I've only had 2 sites pull out in the last 7 years.
Just Curious What Are The Different Pumps Everyone Uses? Thank You
