Is Anyone On The Dexcom 5 Or 6 Closed System With Omni Pump? How Is It Working Out. That Is Something I'm Looking Into. Thank You
I’ve been using the “5” model for a few years now. It works very well but the beeping alerts from the pump & CGM are annoying
Hi Sharon. I've been very pleased with Omni Pod system. I've been on the dash for almost 6 yrs now. Biggest reason I chose it is its tubeless application. The pump does all the priming. My future after months of prep is next yr go to that closed dexcom 6, Omni 5. It will be a big change for me especially using my phone instead of reader. It will take a while to transition over and alot of work but I'm 69 now and have to look at longer term health..I will miss the convenience of the Libre 3. I'm so glad your first in 25 yrs. We are blessed to have this modern medical technology to manage it. Good luck to you
I called Omnipod and spoke with a rep. I decided I would try it when it’s compatible with my iPhone. I have no issues with the tubing but the infusion sets were causing some issues. Right now I’m taking a break from my Tandem but will probably continue it again next month with other infusion sets. The 30 degree sets work better for me than the 90 degrees. This is my first break in almost 25 years.
Jayne thank you
I have a 5. I chose it because it has no tubing, works great with the Dexcom 6 and has options of holding the insulin if real active for an hour or more, instills more insulin if BS is elevated.. it’s mostly a matter of learning how to manage it!
Wanted To Ask How The Closed System Of Dexcom 6 And Omni 5 Works. How People Do On It. It Would Be My Next Move From Omni Dash And Libre 3
I Am Looking Into Getting An Insulin Pump And Would Really Appreciate Getting Info On Different Ones.....also Pros And Cons With Pumps.
What Are The Pros And Cons Of The Omni 5, Dexcom 6 Closed System. I'm Thinking Of My Next Step. Anyone Familiar With Using It. Thank You
