- Remove the cap from the pen.

3. Prime the Pen:
- Dial a small dose (usually 2 units) and press the button to release insulin. This ensures the pen is working and removes air bubbles.

4. Set the Dose:
- Turn the dial to the prescribed dose.

5. Inject the Insulin:
- Choose an injection site (usually the belly).
- Clean the site with an alcohol swab.
- Insert the needle at a 90-degree angle.
- Press the button to inject the insulin.
- Hold the pen in place for 10 seconds to ensure all insulin is delivered.

6. Remove the Needle:
- Remove the needle and dispose of it safely in a sharps container.
- Replace the pen cap.

Remember to rotate injection sites to prevent lumps under the skin.
