An English muffin is about 30 carbs (give or take 2-4) a piece of wheat toast is 15 carbs. Eggs are protein so don’t have to be counted. So yes, a single piece of toast is better.

I have been at this a long time, I estimate my carb intake to bolus insulin via pump. If you learn some simple estimates, life is better.

1 pc bread. = 15
1hamburger bun = 20
Medium orange = 15
1/4 cup raisins = 15
1 handful potato chips = 15
1 chocolate chip cookie (medium) = 20
1/2 cup green beans = 10
😊

Yeah English muffins are high and quick carbs. Eggs are fine.

You may have to adjust your insulin to carb Cammy’s depending on the time of day and the meal! I’ve been T1for 66 years with an A1C of 4.8 and my carb ratio is 20 carbs to 1unit of fast acting insulin from my pump! I know the foods that wreak havoc on my BS’s such as pasta and rice and I never eat these foods! There are so many carb substitutions that I can eat that I simply stay away from the tough foods! T1 has NEVER held me back from living the BEST life ever including giving birth to 5 children, earning 3 college degrees and working a 38 year HS teaching career! Sadly, my husband of 53 years died suddenly last year! He was NOT diabetic! Life, truly, is a mystery!

So a single piece of wheat toast would be better?
