Does Anyone Have Diabetic Gastroparesis?
I just got diagnosed, finally, after 4 years of symptoms. I don't know what to expect.
I've had gastro since my twenties (40 years worth) sometimes worse than others
I had it for 2 years but in the first year they never gave me a diagnosis. I just threw up every day multiple times for two plus years.
You need to get your blood sugars under control. The two biggest things that got me under control was getting on an insulin pump and a GCM. Low carb diets and foods that are not high in the Glycemic Index.
This is a complex and overwhelming disease but there are so many products today that are huge helps. We don’t get a break ever from this but when you do figure out what works for you and what foods won’t spike your blood sugar it’s a huge blessing. Just remember it’s not a text book disease and what works for one may not work for another at times. Every aspect of our lives affect our diabetes. Make sure you find a good endocrinologist bc there are a lot out there that suck. I wish you the best. You can do this. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, something that took me 39 years to figure out.
Yes, I've had that for quite a long time. Was misdiagnosed for years until I found my doctor. His father had it and so he was very familiar with it. He prescribed medication for me that is totally working for me!!!
Me too . No red meat . Low fat.low sodium. Stay from fried food . Panceatitis diet but for this also
Yes, I have it. Just like diabetes… you can live with it, you just learn what works for you and “go for it.” If most specifics, let me know 😉
