I’m Wondering If Anyone’s Omnipod 5 Tends To Run On The High Side For Blood Sugar Control. I Know Some Pumps Stay In The 100 Range.

Hi Michon-
Really? How low?
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Mine runs low…ALWAYS
Thank you Dale!!
I’d like to be in the 120 range. Even 110. My Omnipod also prevents lows pretty well too. I like the pod system but just wish it could do a little better job at keeping my blood sugar stable. I know I have diabetes.
I use the Medtronic 780G, and it attempts to keep your blood sugar at 120. This setting can only be altered temporarily to 150, which I use occasionally if I’m out of town and alone. Although the 780 does a good job of preventing serious lows, it can take a while to bring down highs. I achieve an A1C around 6.5, but only be “lying” to my pump that I’ve eaten carbs to invoke a bolus.
I Will Be Meeting With My New Endocrinologist Next Week. I Want To Ask Him If I Can Get On The Omnipod 5. Is Anyone On A Pump? Pros & Cons?
